The P1DC from Takamine is a Pro Series 1 dreadnought acoustic/electric guitar featuring a solid cedar top, sapele back and sides, a mahogany neck with a 21-fret rosewood fingerboard, and a built-in electronic preamp. The Venetian cutaway offers optimum access to neck's the upper registers. The combination of woods used in the instrument's construction delivers warmth, balance, and harmonic richness that resonates. Other features include pearl dot inlays on the fingerboard; a Takamine split bone saddle bridge, which provides faultless intonation and acoustic coupling to the solid cedar top; and chrome die-cast machine heads for tuning stability. In addition, the P1DC has a gloss finish on the top and a natural satin finish on the back and sides. For electronics, the instrument includes an onboard CT4B II preamp system paired with a Palathetic undersaddle pickup for first-class amplified response and a natural acoustic tone. In addition, the preamp system has a three-band EQ, volume control, and a built-in tuner, giving the player better control of the guitar's tone in a live environment. A GC200 hardshell case is also included.
